Just wanted to let you know that the Pecatoncia Prairie Path is not usable at this time. 
There were two bridges between Winnebago and Pec in disrepair, although passable, 
but Com Ed pulled them out 2 or 3 yrs ago to avoid liability. One is 1 mile west of Winnebago 
and the other is closer to Pec. We're from Winnebago and used to walk the 3 mile stretch to 
US highway 20. I just talked to John Cox of Fehr-Graham Engineering, 815-235-7643, 
who said the job is subcontracted out to McClure Eng., but no telling when funds will be available. 
It's 13 yrs and counting since the original plans were submitted.
